About the position
Clinton Memorial is seeking a Surgery Support Tech. Under the general supervision of the Director and/or Coordinator, performs a variety of duties within the Surgical Services Department. Assumes responsibilities, assists/coordinates activities with surgical room turnovers, surgical case room setup, surgical patient transfer, knowledge, and skill in the use of aseptic technique with instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical room turnovers
- Coordinate activities related to surgical case room setup
- Facilitate surgical patient transfers
- Utilize aseptic techniques with instruments and equipment
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Three (3) to six (6) months on-the-job training to be proficient in all phases of assigned duties including basic computer skills
Nice-to-haves
- Completion of Central Service Technician course
- Prior experience in hospital setting with experience in Surgery and/or Sterile Processing
