Additionally, the Surgical Tech II must demonstrate proficiency in sterile and aseptic techniques, including proper surgical hand scrubs and the preparation of sterile surfaces such as the mayo stand and back table. During surgical procedures, the Surgical Tech II is responsible for managing instrumentation and equipment, ensuring that all countable items are accounted for to prevent retained surgical items. Post-procedure, the Surgical Tech II will perform clean-up duties and care for instrumentation. Patient care responsibilities may include medication management on the sterile field, dressing applications, and assisting with patient positioning as needed. The Surgical Tech II is expected to practice professional accountability through effective teamwork and communication, actively seeking information and skills to address any recognized deficits. This position is full-time, with day shifts scheduled from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, located at 9301 West 74th Street, #300, Shawnee Mission, KS.
