About the position

The Surgical Technology Knowledge Program at Baptist Health Louisville/LaGrange is designed to support individuals aspiring to become surgical technicians. This program offers financial assistance in the form of loan forgiveness for tuition and related expenses, contingent upon the participant's commitment to work for Baptist Health upon graduation from an accredited surgical tech program.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Baptist Health online application.
• Provide an acceptance letter into the surgical tech program.
• Submit an official transcript showing GPA.
• Obtain two letters of reference, one from a classroom instructor and one from an employer.
• Write a letter stating the reason for interest in the career field, short and long-term goals, and the need for financial assistance.
• Participate in an interview with a panel of Baptist Health Surgical Staff.

Requirements

• Must be accepted into an accredited surgical tech program.
• Maintain an acceptable GPA throughout the program.
• Agree to work for Baptist Health upon graduation.
