About the position
The Surgical Tech assists the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing and managing sterile setups, passing instruments, and supporting patient care in the operating theater. This role requires a blend of technical skills and the ability to work under general supervision, contributing to a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations.
- Pass items to doctors and nurses as needed during surgeries.
- Assist in preparing and moving patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Clean and maintain the operating theater to ensure a sterile environment.
- Perform a variety of tasks as required during surgical operations.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists.
- Possess a current ORT certification.
- 2-4 years of experience in surgical technology or a related field.
