About the position
The Surgical Tech position at FirstHealth of the Carolinas involves assisting providers with endoscopic procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Preparing the room and assisting the provider during the procedure.
- Reprocessing and sterilizing endoscopes according to established protocol.
- Performing equipment checks and maintenance to ensure functionality and safety.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory of supplies, ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedure.
- Educating and comforting patients before, during and after procedure to provide a positive experience.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to support patient care and unit efficiency.
- Able to assist with back-up late during the week and a holiday.
Requirements
- Graduate of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technology.
- BCLS certified.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and care quality.
