About the position
As a Surgical Technician at Riddle Memorial Hospital, you will play a crucial role in facilitating safe and successful surgeries for our patients. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include checking and setting up instruments, performing counts, and scrubbing in to assist the Surgeon during invasive and surgical procedures. Additional duties may involve handling specimens, assisting with patient positioning and transfers, and participating in OR turnover. This position offers opportunities for career development through tuition reimbursement for further education and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Check and set up surgical instruments
- Perform counts of instruments and supplies
- Scrub in to assist the Surgeon during procedures

Requirements
- One year of Operating Room experience preferred
- Successful completion of an accredited course in Operating Room Technology
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred if training occurred on or before 12/29/2020
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification required upon hire if training took place on or after 12/29/2020
Nice-to-haves
