The Surgical Technologist III plays a critical role in the perioperative environment, assisting in surgical procedures under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize patient care, ensuring that all necessary supplies and instruments are prepared and available for surgical operations. The technologist also serves as a clinical resource and is responsible for educating others in their areas of expertise, while fulfilling call obligations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures under the direction of the circulating Registered Nurse.
• Prioritize, organize, and implement care for surgical patients.
• Manage supplies and instrumentation for surgical operations.
• Educate staff and others in areas of surgical expertise.
• Perform call obligations as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program for surgical technologists.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Meets all standards and competencies for Surgical Technologist II.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• CST certification preferred.
