Responsibilities

• Perform primary functions of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room.
• Maintain accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinate the care of the surgical patient with other team members.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.
• Perform duties in accordance with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must understand English both written and spoken.
• Ability to safely perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice-to-haves

• Successful completion of a Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
• Surgical Technology Certification preferred.
