About the position

The Surveillance Agent plays a crucial role in monitoring and documenting activities within gaming and non-gaming operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is essential for protecting company assets by detecting theft, cheating, and other illegal activities, while also assisting management in resolving disputes related to guests or employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts oneself in accordance with WCH Gaming purpose, expectation guide, and department procedures.
  • Trains in all aspects of surveillance and casino topics including camera and equipment utilization, cheating methods, and detection techniques.
  • Utilizes surveillance cameras, equipment, and software to identify, record, document, and report suspicious behavior or illegal activity.
  • Observes, documents, records, and reports regulatory or procedural violations.
  • Actively monitors casino and property activity and reports findings.
  • Monitors sensitive and restricted access areas to ensure only authorized personnel enter.
  • Accurately completes routine video reviews, reports, log entries, and other functions.
  • Monitors processes to ensure compliance with cash handling regulations and procedures.
  • Maintains awareness of current regulations, controls, policies, and standards for adherence and compliance.
  • Maintains security of designated areas and confidentiality of relevant information.
  • Reports technical issues, suspicious behavior, security risks, illegal activity, and violations to management.
  • Conducts special observations as directed by management.
  • Assists with investigations when instructed by the Director of Surveillance or management team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in a GED program with completion within 6 months from start date.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • One (1) year of related experience in cash operations, CCTV, security, loss prevention, or investigations required.
  • One (1) year of casino gaming or casino cash operations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess a high level of maturity with the ability to self-manage.
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Must have an Occupational License or the ability to obtain and maintain a license pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in report writing, as a report writing assignment will be administered prior to any interview.
