About the position

The Surveillance Agent II plays a crucial role in monitoring gaming operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting in the resolution of disputes within the casino environment. This position involves both observational duties and supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Surveillance Supervisor, contributing to the overall security and integrity of casino operations.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, document, and report activities associated with gaming operations.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and procedures.
  • Assist casino management in resolving customer or employee disputes.
  • Train in all aspects of surveillance and casino topics, including camera utilization and cheating detection.
  • Utilize surveillance equipment to identify and report suspicious behavior or illegal activity.
  • Monitor sensitive and restricted access areas to ensure authorized personnel access only.
  • Complete routine video reviews, reports, and log entries accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain security of designated areas and confidentiality of information.
  • Report technical issues, suspicious activities, and violations to management.
  • Conduct special observations as directed by management.
  • Assist with investigations as instructed by the Director of Surveillance or management team.
  • Supervise and oversee the Surveillance Department in the absence of the Surveillance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required, or currently enrolled in a GED program with completion within 6 months.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • One (1) year of casino surveillance experience or related field required.
  • Six (6) months of previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Word and report writing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of maturity and self-management ability.
  • Willingness to work odd and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Valid and current State Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Occupational License as per the Illinois Gaming Act.
