About the position
The Surveillance Agent is responsible for monitoring the gaming floor to ensure asset protection, detect crimes, violations, and disturbances using video and audio surveillance equipment. This role requires maintaining confidentiality and generating reports in accordance with department policies. The agent will work closely with other surveillance personnel and casino departments to ensure compliance with regulations and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor gaming floor for irregular activities such as cheating or theft using audio/video equipment.
- Generate reports on observations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality while observing and reporting activities.
- Provide oversight for all currency transactions and transportation.
- Maintain logs and/or records of activity during the scheduled shift.
- Assist Enterprise management as directed when necessary.
- Operate and maintain the CCTV system in the surveillance control room.
- Monitor for deviations from Tribal-State Compact regulations, NIGC MICS, and department procedure manuals.
- Complete accurate, well-written, timely reports for all incidents observed.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 months' experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Tribal-State Compact, NIGC MICS, and policies and procedures of revenue-generating departments.
- Excellent written and verbal reporting skills.
- Ability to be in a sedentary position for long periods.
- Manual dexterity for operation of cameras and computers.
