About the position

The Surveillance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of casino operations. This position involves leading a team of surveillance officers to monitor activities within the casino, detect potential criminal behavior, and enforce security protocols. The manager is responsible for creating a safe environment for guests and staff while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, and develop team members through coaching and mentoring.
• Conduct periodic team member performance appraisals in accordance with Company Policy.
• Ensure team members comply with the rules, regulations, and directives of the Illinois Gaming Board and internal controls.
• Manage team members' skills, resources, and schedules to enhance department effectiveness.
• Delegate responsibility and direct others in completing tasks or assignments.
• Establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Advise management on internal control and policy improvements.
• Observe, document, record, and report regulatory or procedural violations.
• Review comprehensive reports documenting findings for potential apprehension or prosecution.
• Initiate and conduct investigations and report any suspicious behavior or illegal activity.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in casino cheating and security threats.
• Manage the surveillance department's budget and resources effectively.
• Collaborate with the Security Department, Illinois Gaming Board, and local police on investigations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND two (2) years of casino surveillance supervisory experience required OR Four (4) years' experience in a casino surveillance management position required OR Three (3) years' experience in a casino surveillance supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality required.
• Experience with sophisticated digital surveillance equipment and casino surveillance report writing required.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Word and report writing required.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and delegate responsibilities required.
• Record of dependability, punctuality, and willingness to learn new tasks required.
• High level of maturity with the ability to self-manage required.
• Willingness to work odd and irregular hours, including nights and weekends required.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and maintain a valid state-issued operator driver's license.

Nice-to-haves
