About the position

The Surveillance Monitor is responsible for overseeing surveillance operations at Sunny Glen Children's Home, ensuring the safety and security of the site population by monitoring live video feeds, documenting incidents, and maintaining the surveillance system. This role involves reporting any suspicious activities, supporting investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor live video surveillance and document daily reports.
  • Report any outages in the surveillance system to supervisors.
  • Identify and report suspicious activities or policy violations.
  • Provide access to surveillance footage for ORR stakeholders upon approval.
  • Maintain and ensure the surveillance systems are operational and recorded.
  • Complete daily logs documenting surveillance activities and incidents.
  • Communicate frequently with the shift supervisor and complete required reports for compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience with children in child welfare, medical, or social service settings.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Record of tuberculosis screening showing the employee is free of contagious TB.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in negotiation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
