About the position

The Survey CAD Drafter position at Forsgren Associates involves supporting the Survey Team by utilizing CAD software to create survey-related drawings. The role requires knowledge in land surveying techniques, data extraction, and client relations, with a focus on collaboration and inclusivity within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete survey-related drawings in the office.
• Read and understand field notes and sketches from survey crews.
• Perform office calculations for surveys and construction staking.
• Utilize prior survey maps and information effectively.
• Conduct basic office duties including data import, field note scanning, and calculations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in survey mapping drafting including records of survey, corner records, subdivision plats, and exhibits.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Software.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) and remote sensing data processing preferred.
• Knowledge of topographic surveying, boundary, construction, and point cloud data extraction.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microstation/Open Roads.
• MS Office skills.
