Responsibilities

• Perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g., pipe slopes, areas, volumes).
• Prepare and detail construction plans using information from the designer.
• Follow CAD Standards and Operating Procedures to maintain consistency.
• Review and verify the accuracy of plans.
• Utilize station offset methods for setting points and estimating man-hours for CAD projects.
• Perform engineering calculations using second-party software with minimal supervision.
• Create site plans, utility layouts, and legal descriptions.
• Import survey data into Civil 3D to create boundary, topographical, ALTA, and As-built surveys.
• Generate stake-out coordinates and plot information for field crews.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of professional, full-time CAD experience in a related industry.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015, MicroStation V8, or GeoPAK is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, or five years of CAD experience in civil engineering/surveying.
• An Associate's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 40 hours of field experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with metric measurements and convert between metric and English units.
• Capable of reading, comprehending, and presenting information effectively.
• Competence in using standard tools and methods to resolve issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in creating and managing Point Groups and Survey Databases.
• Ability to interpret and map existing utilities using resources such as scans, PDFs, and GIS data.
