About the position
The Survey CAD Technician II at SAM, LLC is responsible for supporting both office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. This role involves utilizing advanced technology in the A/E/C industry to enhance project efficiency and client satisfaction, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and principles.
Responsibilities
- Process data utilizing SAM standards, ensuring accuracy and sufficiency.
- Monitor field crew's production and quality assurance.
- Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings.
- Perform quality control checks of plats, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other technicians.
- Coordinate with supervisors to meet client-specific demands.
Requirements
- 5+ years of field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing.
- Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D required; MicroStation is a plus.
- Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
- Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus.
