About the position
The CAD Technician position involves providing drafting and design support for surveying projects, requiring expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a strong background in survey drafting. The role is essential for developing survey plans and construction documents under the guidance of a Professional Land Surveyor, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to company CAD standards.
Responsibilities
- Development of survey plans and construction documents for complex CAD projects under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor.
- Work efficiently and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
- Perform work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handle multiple assignments with competing priorities.
- Maintain company CAD standards throughout the projects.
Requirements
- 2+ years of progressive survey work experience or an Associates Degree in a CAD-related field.
- Working knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivisions, easement, and vacation plats.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; MicroStation experience is preferred.
- Exceptional client service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision once trained.
- General knowledge of MS Office.
- Good communication skills.
