About the position
The Survey CAD Technician role involves providing drafting and design support for surveying projects, requiring expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a strong background in survey drafting. The position is ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree in a CAD-related field, and it offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Development of survey plans and construction documents for complex CAD projects under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor
- Work efficiently and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
- Perform work accurately and in a timely manner
- Handle multiple assignments with competing priorities
- Maintain company CAD standards throughout projects
Requirements
- 2+ years of progressive survey work experience or an Associate's Degree in a CAD-related field
- Working knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivisions, easement and vacation plats
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- General knowledge of MS Office
- Good communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- MicroStation experience preferred
- Exceptional client service skills
- Self-starting, requiring minimal supervision once trained
