About the position
The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for conducting various types of surveys including construction layouts, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys. Initially hired for a nine-month contract, the role may transition to a permanent position with additional responsibilities such as performing ALTA surveys. The position involves working in a two-person crew or occasionally solo, utilizing advanced surveying equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct construction layouts, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys.
- Perform ALTA surveys upon becoming a permanent employee.
- Work in a two-person crew or occasionally solo.
- Utilize Trimble equipment such as GPS base and rover units, VRS networks, Robotic total stations, Digital levels, TSC7 data collectors, and TBC processing software.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
- Experience performing construction layout surveys.
- Experience with boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys.
- Proficiency in using total station, GPS, land survey, and boundary survey software.
