About the position
As a Field Crew Chief at JBPro, you will lead a field survey crew, ensuring the successful and accurate completion of various survey projects. This role emphasizes strong leadership and adaptability to changing project needs, while also focusing on creating innovative solutions for North Florida's infrastructure. You will report to the Director of Surveying and play a crucial role in fostering a supportive work environment that values professional growth and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a field survey crew during daily operations to efficiently collect field data.
- Ensure a safe and organized work environment for crew members and equipment.
- Maintain detailed and organized field notes.
- Deliver accurate and precise field data to the office.
- Train survey crew in survey and mapping methods, equipment uses, and field safety procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with data collection equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- AutoCAD experience.
- FDOT experience and knowledge of FDOT surveying/mapping procedures.
- CST certification.
