About The Position

The Survey Crew Chief will lead and manage a survey crew, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of surveying tasks for large infrastructure projects. This role involves operating and maintaining surveying equipment, conducting high-definition scanning, and coordinating with project managers and engineers to provide precise measurements. The position also includes training junior crew members and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Background with infrastructure projects
• Minimum 5 years of experience (can include education)
• Familiarity with Survey Equipment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with tunnels, railroads, airport, and infrastructure projects
• Survey license and survey degree (preferred but not required)
• Proficient in operating total stations, data collectors, and other surveying equipment
• Familiarity with high-definition scanning techniques is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a survey crew, ensuring accurate and timely completion of surveying tasks.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations and data collectors.
• Conduct and oversee surveying activities for large infrastructure projects, including roadway, utilities, and land development.
• Implement high-definition scanning techniques and processes as required.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to provide precise measurements and data.
• Train and mentor junior crew members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies on all projects.
• Assist in the preparation of survey reports and documentation.
