About the position

Dresdner Robin is seeking a full-time Survey Drafter to work from our Fairfield, NJ office. This position entails performing survey plan production, which is a critical function in the land surveying process. The Survey Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed survey plans that are essential for various projects, including right-of-way, boundary, and topographic surveys. The ideal candidate must possess a strong foundation in using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, as these tools are integral to the drafting process. In addition to technical skills, the candidate should have relevant work experience with land surveying data, particularly in projects related to utility and transportation. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as the role requires interaction with a variety of stakeholders, including engineers, clients, and other team members. The ability to be a quick learner who can take initiative is also important, as the Survey Drafter will need to adapt to the specific needs of each project and collaborate effectively with others. Responsibilities

  • Perform survey plan production for various projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for drafting.
  • Work on right-of-way, boundary, and topographic projects using land surveying data.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Relevant work experience with right-of-way, boundary, and topographic projects using land surveying data.
  • Experience with utility and/or transportation projects is desirable.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be a quick learner and take initiative.
