About the position

The Survey Project Manager at Ardurra will lead the survey team in Tampa, FL, overseeing project execution from planning to completion. This role involves managing survey technicians, ensuring adherence to quality assurance guidelines, and providing technical support for various survey deliverables. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Establish a work outline for completion of assigned projects.
• Understand project requirements, budgets, and deliverables.
• Conduct records research and prepare calculations.
• Assist the Project Surveyor with resolution of surveyed boundaries.
• Directly supervise and schedule assignments for Survey Technician staff.
• Provide technical duties such as CAD drafting and generating reports.
• Manage technical and CAD production of all Survey deliverables.
• Train and orient new staff with Ardurra's drafting and CAD standards.
• Input and analyze data from field survey work into AutoCAD/Civil3D.
• Read and analyze legal descriptions from deeds and other records.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Survey, Forestry, or Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of Survey Technician experience with proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D.
• Strong mathematical skills and problem-solving capabilities using Trigonometric and Geometric functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam (or Adobe).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Surveyor In Training (SIT) certificate preferred but not required.
• Experience working with clients and other Project Managers.
