About the position

The Survey Statistician position at the Department of Commerce's Center for Enterprise Dissemination involves conducting research and analysis using household and economic survey data. The role is essential for providing statistical support and insights to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the effective dissemination of statistical information. Responsibilities

  • Respond to questions from and provide assistance to the internal/external data user community.
  • Coordinate a program of research for subject matter experts using household and economic survey data.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor project activities for approved research projects using household and economic survey data.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Minimum education requirement: Degree with at least 15 semester hours in statistics and additional coursework in related fields.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 level in the Federal service, or 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience communicating in-person and in writing to various audiences or stakeholders.
  • Experience applying statistical techniques, methodology, or methods.
  • Participation or assistance in a research and/or statistical project.
