About the position
The Surveying Foreman at TIC - The Industrial Company is responsible for directing and supervising all aspects of safety, productivity, and quality layout for surveying projects. This role involves ensuring that craft workers are qualified, providing on-the-job training, and coordinating efforts to accomplish work efficiently and safely according to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision and ensure their qualifications.
- Conduct task planning and train craft workers on safety practices and procedures.
- Lead tool box meetings to communicate safety concerns and work plans to crews.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing to ensure adequate supply of tools and materials.
- Monitor and report on work quantities accomplished on a daily/weekly basis.
- Complete performance reviews for craft workers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in the field.
- Thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers.
- Ability to perform task planning and train on safety practices.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, material control, and job cost management systems.
- Effective communication skills to convey instructions and feedback to craft workers and management.
- Strong motivational and team player skills.
