About the position

As a Cost Manager at AECOM, you will play a crucial role in managing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously, navigating through various stages of the project lifecycle from inception to close-out. This position requires a keen understanding of cost management principles and the ability to apply them effectively across projects of varying complexity and value. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates at different stages of design development, ensuring that financial feasibility and viability are assessed for each project. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you assess and compare various project options and scenarios, producing cash flow forecasts and analyses that inform decision-making processes. In addition to cost estimation, you will engage in Life Cycle Cost Analyses, which are essential for understanding the long-term financial implications of project decisions. Your participation in Value Management and Value Engineering will help optimize project outcomes, while your ability to produce benchmark studies against similar projects will provide valuable insights into cost performance. You will also be tasked with preparing and issuing Requests for Information, Requests for Qualification, and Requests for Proposal, responding to vendor queries, and leveling and analyzing bids to provide comprehensive analysis reports and recommendations. Your role will extend to preparing purchase orders and contracts for all appointments, including consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors. Monthly financial reporting will be a key responsibility, as will reviewing and advising on uncommitted and contingency balances. You will also be responsible for reviewing vendor invoices and applications for payment, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately processed and documented. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Ability to work independently / unsupervised
  • Impeccable written and oral communication
  • High degree of expertise in Microsoft Excel
