About the position

The RN Field Representative is a critical role that involves surveying hospice and home care organizations across the United States. This position is remote, allowing qualified Registered Nurses to work from anywhere in the country. The primary responsibility of the RN Field Representative is to apply systems analysis and inductive reasoning skills to evaluate healthcare organizations' compliance with applicable standards and the functionality of their care delivery systems. This includes engaging with healthcare organization staff in interactive dialogues to assess compliance and identify opportunities for improvement. In this role, the RN Field Representative will prepare management reports that clearly link deficiencies in individual standards to potential vulnerabilities within the systems and related risks to the organization. Effective communication is essential, as the representative will need to convey this information to healthcare organization leadership in a constructive and collegial manner. Additionally, the RN Field Representative will participate in other Joint Commission activities as assigned by their supervisor, contributing to the overall mission of ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery. Candidates for this position must possess a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and hold a current professional nursing license. They should have a minimum of five years of recent healthcare experience, including three years of direct clinical experience in appropriate healthcare settings and two years of leadership or senior management experience in accreditation or certification. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and direct involvement in two Joint Commission surveys is also required. Experience in Home Healthcare or Hospice care, particularly within a Medicare Certified home health agency, is essential. Ideal candidates will have experience in culturally diverse environments, and fluency in Spanish is considered a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with expertise in interviewing and proficiency in PC usage.
