About the position

The Sustainability Analyst will play a crucial role in advancing Honda's sustainability initiatives by collaborating with indirect suppliers, industry groups, and internal stakeholders. This position focuses on sustainability education, environmental footprint reduction, and human rights due diligence, ensuring that Honda meets its sustainability goals and maintains strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support the NAIP sustainability strategy including collaboration with suppliers to develop and implement sustainability strategies
  • Determine and manage the accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of supplier sustainability data
  • Educate and negotiate with suppliers to promote and meet realistic supplier sustainability goals
  • Manage achievement of annual supplier CO2 data through reporting platform
  • Responsible for building supplier relationships and monitoring industry trends/characteristics
  • Achieve agreement on sustainability initiatives by coordinating multiple projects with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities to achieve Triple Zero Targets
  • Ensure accurate and timely budget tracking and processing

Requirements

  • 6+ years' experience in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related Field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in establishing relationships with supplier organizations and advocacy groups
  • Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental science, sustainability, business or equivalent experience (Bachelor Degree preferred)

  • Proficiency in data analysis and sustainability reporting tools
  • Excellent training, planning, organizational, project management skills, as well as manage internal and external relationships
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
