About the position

The Sustainability Manager at Sabert is responsible for supporting the company's sustainability strategy through data analysis and reporting. This role involves gathering and managing ESG data, ensuring compliance with reporting frameworks, and collaborating with various teams to drive sustainability initiatives. The position aims to reinforce Sabert's leadership in sustainable packaging solutions by transforming data into actionable insights and monitoring progress towards environmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document ESG data across the enterprise for internal and external reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all ESG metrics.
  • Collaborate to streamline and automate data collection and reporting processes.
  • Lead the completion of annual ESG reporting requirements, including frameworks like CDP, Ecovadis, and GRI.
  • Provide ESG data and content for internal reports and customer inquiries.
  • Develop templates, reports, and scorecards to track progress and highlight best practices.
  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) using third-party tools.
  • Monitor evolving reporting regulations and educate internal teams to maintain compliance.
  • Develop, track, and report Sabert's GHG reduction goals in alignment with Science-Based Targets (SBTi).
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage key data inputs for reporting.
  • Partner with IT and finance to strengthen data management and disclosure practices.
  • Centralize ESG disclosures to support external reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and training materials for sustainability programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Sustainability or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.
  • Knowledge of voluntary environmental reporting protocols (e.g., GHG Protocol) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with global ESG frameworks and regulatory standards is highly beneficial.
