About the position

The Sustaining Engineering Manager at Trystar Inc. will lead a multi-site team responsible for supporting products throughout their lifecycle, including the transition to manufacturing, ongoing support, and product enhancements. This role emphasizes establishing and improving best-in-class sustaining engineering processes while ensuring safety, integrity, and customer focus are at the forefront of operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and coach a team of cross-functional, cross-site professionals to support Trystar's manufacturing sites.
• Ensure successful transition of engineering designs to manufacturing, meeting performance, quality, and reliability standards.
• Establish and facilitate processes for continuous improvement of products and technology.
• Implement and manage Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
• Develop and track metrics to measure manufacturing floor errors and the efficacy of RCCA efforts.
• Oversee the Engineering Change Order process.
• Champion industry best practices in Design for Manufacturability, tolerance stack-ups, automation, and problem-solving techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing floor support.
• 5+ years in the management of people.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in collaborating and influencing cross-functional groups.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team building capabilities.
• Extensive experience with manufacturing and automated change-order processes.
• Experience in engineering conceptual layouts, detailed drawings, documents, and BOM.
• Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven design skills including SolidWorks (or equivalent) expertise.
