The candidate will support sustainment activities for a diverse portfolio of strategic MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure. The candidate will provide systems engineering and analysis expertise in support of legacy space systems including, but not limited to Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T), and Milstar Messaging System (MMS), along with various other systems, subsystems and devices in a multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will also have a direct impact on new MILSATCOM space systems transitioning from the acquisition community to operational stakeholders. This opportunity is a mid-level position and designed for a candidate who is a self-starter and capable of autonomous, on-the-job learning/growth. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a collaborative work environment of small teams tackling the challenges of sustaining complex, space-based, telecommunication systems. The candidate will have a positive, tangible effect across all aspects of the space system (spacecraft, uplinks/downlinks, command & control, networks, users) while improving overall combat readiness. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force's Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force's acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters.
