The Execution Group Manager is a senior professional role focused on conducting risk and compliance reviews in collaboration with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. The primary objective of this position is to leverage cross-functional knowledge to lead the AML team in achieving operational goals and maximizing business impact. This role encompasses managing operational planning and performance, and it is expected to carry out all relevant management tasks effectively. In this capacity, the Execution Group Manager will execute remediation management and oversee the end-to-end remediation process. This includes establishing a comprehensive remediation framework that incorporates scorecards and other operational initiatives across the U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) as defined. The manager will represent the Financial Crimes team in various forums, including senior management discussions and key stakeholder meetings, to ensure transparency regarding remediation activities. The role requires collaboration with the management team to provide strategic direction and develop all aspects of the Know Your Customer (KYC) remediation control environment, which encompasses people, processes, technology, and governance. The Execution Group Manager will also be responsible for developing project plans related to the remediation book of work, ensuring that the team focuses on the most critical business objectives while holding partners accountable for their contributions. Continuous improvement and simplification of remediation processes are essential aspects of this role, with an emphasis on exploring options to transition processes from manual to more systemic solutions. The manager must appropriately assess risks and controls, demonstrating a strong commitment to the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to company policies, and applying sound ethical judgment in personal behavior and business practices. Additionally, the Execution Group Manager will manage and develop a diverse team across multiple locations, identify and escalate trends or issues related to money laundering or terrorist financing to senior management, and manage investigations of potentially suspicious or high-risk clients. Effective communication and negotiation with other business areas are crucial, as is the ability to research and record evidence from various data sources. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of risk assessment in business decision-making, ensuring compliance and accountability throughout the organization.
