About the position

The Lead Asset Manager at SitusAMC is responsible for the overall management of a client's portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for all portfolio management activities. This role involves overseeing multiple servicers and strategic portfolio initiatives, ensuring that client objectives are met through effective asset strategy deployment. The Lead Asset Manager will coordinate with various teams to define asset-level strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, while also focusing on enhancing performance and quality within the Asset Management Team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a client's portfolio post-acquisition, serving as the primary contact for portfolio management and servicing oversight.
  • Oversee multiple servicers and strategic portfolio initiatives across all asset classes.
  • Coordinate servicing transfers, operational reviews, and remittance reconciliations.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, reviewing loan documentation and reporting.
  • Identify servicing performance irregularities and drive enhancements with servicers.
  • Develop portfolio campaign strategies and customized reporting for clients.
  • Collaborate regularly with clients and servicers to report on portfolio performance.
  • Raise potential issues regarding performance and timelines to management.
  • Ensure visibility into the status of every deal by performing appropriate reviews in the system.

Requirements

  • College degree or training in finance/mortgage banking preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in an AVP level role or equivalent.
  • Experience in commercial real estate asset management is required.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical ability and strategic thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask.

Nice-to-haves

  • Mortgage/secondary market experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with staff and clients.
