About the position

The Lead Asset Manager at SitusAMC is responsible for the overall management of a client's portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for portfolio management, servicing oversight, and asset strategy. This role involves overseeing multiple servicers and strategic initiatives, ensuring client objectives are met through effective collaboration and performance reporting. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex data and client relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain visibility into the status of every deal by ensuring the reviews are performed appropriately in the system.
  • Work with Excel performing VLOOKUP, pivot, and other functions to understand and reconcile data.
  • Raise potential issues (performance, timeline, etc.) to management attention (VP, SVP, etc.).
  • Verify that critical exceptions are correctly applied where appropriate.
  • Identify performance trends and potential enhancements for servicer processes or internal system changes.
  • Coordinate with diligence and collateral services teams to define asset level strategies and curative efforts post settlement.
  • Develop portfolio campaign strategies and customized reporting.
  • Manage project functions and ensure overall quality and performance of the Asset Management Team.

Requirements

  • College degree or training in finance/mortgage banking preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent.
  • Commercial real estate asset management experience is required.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and good judgment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Mortgage/secondary market experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with staff and clients.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
