About the position

The SVP of BD Excellence at BD is responsible for developing and implementing best practices in business development excellence across the organization. This role involves managing a team of experts to deliver training, coaching, and innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The position requires a strong leader with extensive experience in lean methodologies and a proven track record in driving process excellence within a global context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BD Excellence strategies across the organization.
• Manage a team of BD Excellence content experts in various business functions.
• Create a comprehensive training program for BD Excellence certification.
• Communicate the vision and importance of BD Excellence to all levels of the organization.
• Attract, hire, and develop top talent to support BD Excellence initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and teacher of BD Excellence tools and methodologies.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen and other lean practices.
• Lead the deployment of BD Excellence globally, considering cultural nuances.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Process and Lean techniques in commercial and manufacturing settings.
• At least 10 years of experience in organizations with proven business systems.
• 5+ years in a Global Senior Leadership position with multiple direct reports.
• Commercial experience in Sales Operations or effectiveness roles.
• Operations experience in plants and across procurement and supply chain.
• Significant experience in Product Development and launch processes.
• Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation tools.
• Proficient in tools like Power BI and Einstein for data visualization.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as an individual seller and sales manager.
• Global experience, including living abroad.
• Technical degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• Experience in Med Tech, Life Science, or Diagnostic Industry.
• Experience with the Shingijutsu group in Kaizens.
