About the position

The Senior Vice President, Revenue Cycle (SVPRC) at Novant Health will lead all Revenue Cycle functions, ensuring efficient operations to generate cash flow that supports organizational goals. The SVPRC will collaborate with executive leadership to enhance financial performance, compliance, and operational efficiency, overseeing various revenue cycle departments and services across ambulatory and acute centers. This role involves strategic oversight of revenue cycle operations, including scheduling, admissions, billing, and collections, while also focusing on the integration of technology and vendor services to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide centralized leadership for all Revenue Cycle functions.
  • Oversee programs to ensure efficient operations of the Revenue Cycle program.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive improvements in financial performance and compliance.
  • Create collaboration within Revenue Cycle, Financial, and Operational leadership.
  • Develop effective and scalable revenue cycle operational models.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of Epic and other revenue cycle services.
  • Improve key performance indicators to leading standards.
  • Ensure alignment and integration of operations, performance, and reporting with Novant Health and vendors.
  • Invest in the professional development of revenue cycle leadership and team members.
  • Develop and maintain fiscally responsible Revenue Cycle Budgets.

Requirements

  • Graduate Degree (MBA, MHA, or MPH) required.
  • 12+ years of experience in revenue cycle management within a complex health system required.
  • Minimum 10 years in a senior leadership role required.
  • Extensive knowledge of hospital Revenue Cycle and regulatory requirements.
  • Significant experience with payers, providers, hospitals, and physicians.
  • Extensive understanding of accounts receivable resolution, cash flow, billing, and patient service issues.
