The Data Governance Foundation Sr Lead Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, Data Risk and Control Framework, and Data Risk Taxonomy within Citi. This position is integral to ensuring that data governance practices are not only established but also adhered to across the organization. The analyst will be responsible for liaising with various partners to lead the establishment, management, and implementation of policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, communications, and training initiatives. This role requires a high level of communication and diplomacy skills to effectively negotiate and collaborate with colleagues across diverse business lines and functions, as well as with external third parties when necessary. In this role, the analyst will conduct thorough business analysis by collecting, analyzing, reviewing, documenting, and communicating business needs and requirements. This involves aligning these requirements with Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards to drive appropriate solutions. The analyst will also contribute to the establishment of Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards in alignment with the Enterprise Chief Data Office, ensuring that all processes are properly documented. As a Subject Matter Expert in data management, the analyst will support key Data Transformation projects across the organization. This includes leading activities to ensure that roles and responsibilities related to data are clearly understood and implemented across various business units. The analyst will collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely execution of project milestones, provide reporting on potential risks to delivery, and incorporate milestone reporting and changes as necessary. Additionally, the analyst will capture requirements, develop delivery plans, and manage the entire lifecycle of metrics and report production. It is crucial for the analyst to assess risks when making business decisions, demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and its assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to company policies.
