About the position

The SVP - Director National Sales for Flagstar Financial & Leasing is responsible for developing and implementing the overall sales strategy for the division. This role involves collaboration with senior management to enhance product offerings and support relationship building in specialized lending and corporate banking. The Director will also oversee recruitment, training, and incentive compensation arrangements, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall sales strategy for all channels including pricing, new markets, product development, and job position design.
  • Identify and develop new products, workflows, and sales positions to support specialized lending and corporate banking.
  • Assist division heads in recruiting and training customer-facing positions.
  • Assist in the development and administration of incentive compensation plans, establish pricing targets, and oversee exception pricing approval.
  • Work with risk, asset management, operations, documentation, and senior management to develop compliant policies and procedures that maximize efficiency and customer service.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • 15 years of experience in equipment finance, including risk assessment and sales, with a proven track record of production and managing people.
  • Domain expertise in equipment finance, particularly in sectors like construction, transportation, and hard asset equipment financing and leasing.
  • Excellent knowledge of loan and lease products, pricing, and structure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good knowledge of pricing models and CRM systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent sales and sales training abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong financial analysis, pricing, and risk assessment skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to manage people and business platforms.
  • Excellent client negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
