About the position

The Product Control Lead Analyst is a senior analyst level position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to drive efforts to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control, and product P&L and balance sheet reporting. This position requires a deep understanding of the business impact of technical contributions and the ability to deliver a full range of services to one or more businesses and/or geographic regions. The analyst will be tasked with resolving complex and varied issues, taking action, weighing various alternatives, and balancing potentially conflicting needs. In this role, it is crucial to escalate anomalies and issues in a timely manner while appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made. The analyst must demonstrate particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices. The analyst will also be responsible for escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in a related role
  • Experience in financial control, valuation or related discipline
  • Financial products and valuation related knowledge
  • Evidence of robust control focus
  • Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
