About the position

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Vice President (SVP) for our Systems Engineering & Analysis (SE&A) Program Directorate. This role is pivotal in our mission to establish Parsons as the leading provider in the Systems Engineering & Integration and Engineering Services market. The SE&A Directorate is dedicated to ensuring national security for future generations through innovative engineering services that support the rapid delivery of new capabilities. As part of Parsons' Defense & Space Engineering Solutions (DSES) Sector, the SE&A Directorate focuses on delivering cutting-edge defense and security services and solutions, contributing to a sustainable, safer, smarter, and connected world. Our commitment is to support U.S. and Joint Coalition Warfighters, which is the core of our purpose. The SE&A organization is complex and consists of highly skilled engineering and technical personnel responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and delivering multiple technology capabilities for our Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community customers. In this role, you will manage the full Profit and Loss (P&L) of SE&A operations, overseeing a $300M+ engineering services business. You will be accountable for all financial objectives, including bookings, sales, profit, and strategic direction. Your leadership will foster a culture of growth, encouraging the organization to expand beyond its existing program and customer base. You will interact with the highest levels of the corporate structure to influence and resolve complex business issues while driving collaborative solutions. Developing and leading a high-performing team that consistently exceeds objectives will be a key focus. You will proactively engage with customers to maintain relationships and assess performance, ensuring superior people engagement and management skills are utilized. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating a diverse workforce and demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. As the SVP, you will own the overall strategy and vision for SE&A, including how to effectively represent its capabilities in the market. You will lead the execution of the M&A strategy, identifying potential acquisitions and participating in due diligence and integration processes. With support from business development, you will also drive the organic growth plan, identifying target clients and key executives, and building relationships to win large programs. Your ability to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within targeted defense accounts will be essential, demonstrating an understanding of technology trends and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations for a $300M+ engineering services business.
  • Ensure total accountability for all financial objectives including bookings, sales, profit, and strategy.
  • Build and foster a culture of growth and expansion beyond existing programs and customer base.
  • Interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure to influence and solve complex business issues.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team known for exceeding objectives.
  • Proactively engage customers and maintain relationships on existing programs to assess performance and seek feedback.
  • Foster a culture of high trust, transparent communications, and development opportunities.
  • Engage in creating a diverse workforce and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Own the overall strategy and vision for SE&A, including market representation.
  • Lead the execution of M&A strategy, including identification, due diligence, and integration of acquisitions.
  • Lead the execution of the organic growth plan, identifying target clients and key executives.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within targeted defense accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience with a proven track record of running large P&Ls in excess of $300M in annual revenue.
  • Strong background and knowledge of missile defense and the SE&I market(s) (DoD & Intel).
  • Proven ability to manage a large, diverse, and geographically distributed team specializing in Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I), Threat Analysis, and Engineering Services.
  • Track record of delivering sales and profit objectives consistently and winning large programs that deliver consistent and repeatable growth.
  • Strong familiarity with systems engineering methods and techniques, as well as implementing Digital Engineering methods.
  • Existing relationships and a track record of building relationships in the Intelligence Community, focusing on NRO and NGA.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required with the ability to achieve SCI.
