The Sweepstakes Specialist and Business Development Coordinator at Safari Club International is responsible for developing and managing sweepstakes and raffle initiatives to enhance business development and grow membership. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create engaging campaigns, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and fostering connections within the hunting community. The position is integral to promoting the organization's mission of wildlife conservation and advocating for hunting rights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sweepstakes and raffles campaigns to drive membership goals.
  • Create engaging and compliant sweepstakes and raffles rules and regulations, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to generate promotional materials and content.
  • Manage the selection and procurement of prizes aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Maintain precise records of all sweepstakes and raffles activities, including financial transactions and participant data.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to participants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and legal requirements related to sweepstakes and raffles.
  • Attend meetings, conventions, and trade shows to maintain professional contacts and represent SCI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and managing sweepstakes and raffles for nonprofits or similar organizations.
  • Thorough understanding of legal regulations and compliance related to sweepstakes and raffles.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including effective task prioritization and deadline management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • A keen eye for detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
