About the position
The Swim Instructor position at SafeSplash Swim School involves teaching swimming skills to children in a fun and engaging manner. The role emphasizes safety, skill development, and individual attention, following the SafeSplash curriculum. Instructors will work flexible hours, primarily in the evenings and weekends, across multiple locations in Bellevue, Issaquah, and Redmond.
Responsibilities
- Teach swimming skills in accordance with the SafeSplash curriculum.
- Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers.
- Structure class time to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and skill introduction.
- Ensure swimmer safety during lessons.
- Maintain proper equipment and organization for timely class starts.
- Provide class information to the Deck Supervisor for organization.
- Offer monthly individualized feedback to customers during Splash ‘N Tell week.
- Adhere to SafeSplash uniform standards.
Requirements
- CPR Certification
- 1 year of experience teaching swim lessons or a competitive swimming background
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation
- Passion for teaching children
