About the position
We are seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team, focusing on teaching swimming lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels. The role emphasizes safety, effective communication with parents, and maintaining a clean pool environment.
Responsibilities
- Instruct swimming lessons for individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels
- Adhere to a consistent weekly schedule
- Provide constructive feedback to swimmers to help them improve their skills
- Ensure the safety of all participants in the swimming area
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding swimmers' progress
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Swimming experience preferred
- Ability to complete or willingness to train to complete a 300-yard swim and 2 minutes of treading water
- Must be able to work Mon - Fri 3:00 - 8:00 pm weekdays, and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Sat and/or Sun
- Previous experience in swim instruction or coaching is preferred
- Certification in lifeguarding or CPR is a plus
- Experience in childcare or physical education is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role
