About the position

The Swim Instructor position at a rapidly growing Swim School in Staten Island, NY, involves teaching swimming lessons to individuals of all skill levels, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive learning environment. The role requires a commitment to making a difference in the lives of both children and adults through effective communication and teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with all swim levels (Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced)
• Ensure safety of swimmers in and out of the pool
• Enforce all pool rules and regulations
• Work effectively with other staff members
• Complete weekly progress reports
• Report to the Head Coach
• Have fun while teaching

Requirements

• Swimming experience is a must
• WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certification is a plus
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid Certification
• Current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification
• Previous experience teaching swim lessons preferred
• Ability for multitasking
