About the position
The Swim Lesson Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating swim lesson programs at the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas. This role involves managing schedules, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing quality instruction to participants of all ages. The coordinator will also be involved in staff training and development, ensuring that all swim instructors meet the YMCA's standards for teaching and safety.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee swim lesson programs for various age groups.
- Manage schedules for swim lessons and instructors.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during swim lessons.
- Provide quality instruction and support to swim instructors.
- Conduct staff training and development sessions.
- Monitor participant progress and provide feedback.
Requirements
- Experience in swim instruction or coaching.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
