About the position
The Swim School Assistant Manager at Big Blue Swim School is a leadership role focused on overseeing daily operations, managing swim associates, and ensuring high standards of customer service. This position is designed for growth into a General Manager role within 6-12 months, with responsibilities including staff supervision, customer communication, and pool maintenance. The role requires a blend of management skills and effective communication to foster a positive environment for both staff and customers.
Responsibilities
- Support grassroots marketing efforts for the new location.
- Assist in hiring the initial class of swim associates.
- Help with new pool opening activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents/customers to provide status updates and high-level customer service.
- Monitor and review swimmer's progress and ensure appropriate lesson progression.
- Train front desk staff on promotions and customer service best practices.
- Supervise 10-20 swim associates and conduct monthly evaluations.
- Enforce safety procedures and required certifications.
- Facilitate bi-weekly team trainings as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations.
Requirements
