About the position

The Idaho Youth Ranch is seeking a dedicated Swing Shift Supervisor for Hays House, a vital part of our mission to support homeless and runaway youth in the Treasure Valley. Hays House is the only 24-hour shelter in the area, providing a safe and stable environment for youth in crisis. As a Swing Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading and supervising the direct care staff, ensuring that our young residents receive the highest quality of care and support. Your leadership will help foster an environment of hope, healing, and resilience, aligning with our mission to nurture the well-being of Idaho's youth. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Hays House during the swing shift, which runs from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. You will lead a team of Youth Care Providers, ensuring that they are well-trained and equipped to provide outstanding care to the youth in our program. Your responsibilities will include assisting with onboarding and training new staff, monitoring compliance with program standards and procedures, and ensuring that all tasks are completed effectively and compassionately. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise direct care staff at Hays House to ensure outstanding care for youth.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of Youth Care Providers.
  • Monitor compliance with program standards and procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to them.
  • Complete all required tasks and responsibilities associated with the shift.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff in their interactions with youth.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Idaho driver's license or obtain one within 15 days of hire.
  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year full-time experience in a residential facility for youth or equivalent experience.
  • Available to work from 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, 5 days a week, including 1 weekend day.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity.
