The Swing Shift Caregiver position at Bear Creek Memory Care in Molalla, OR, is designed for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to providing personalized care to elderly residents suffering from dementia and other memory-related conditions. This full-time role involves working evening shifts from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for seniors through attentive and respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and clean environment to ensure the well-being of residents.
• Following directions from Medtechs and managers in providing direct care services.
• Assisting residents with their daily activities such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Listening and responding to resident needs, and communicating their health status to Medtechs, RCC, and RN.
• Maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Ensuring safe working practices and supporting co-workers in maintaining safety.
• Fostering teamwork with co-workers and showing initiative in overcoming obstacles.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization.
• 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Compassion and patience are essential.
• Ability to follow protocol and work with a team.
• Organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or with minimal direction.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in caring for elderly persons with dementia and Alzheimer's is preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
