About the position

The Switch Developer position is a long-term contract role based in Houston, TX, requiring a hybrid work arrangement with three days onsite and two days remote each week. The role focuses on developing and maintaining payment switch applications, particularly in the Connex environment, and requires extensive experience with HP Nonstop systems and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Connex Switch and related utilities.
• Utilize programming skills in TAL and TACL for application development.
• Work with HP Nonstop Utilities and ensure proper functionality of applications.
• Implement and troubleshoot Enscribe, Pathway, FUP, INSPECT, DDL, Enform, and Batchcom.
• Ensure compliance with payment schemes like MasterCard and VISA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production incidents and defects.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT experience, primarily on HP Nonstop systems.
• Expertise in Connex Switch and CED database.
• Programming experience in TAL and TACL.
• Strong knowledge of HP Nonstop Utilities.
• Experience with Enscribe, Pathway, FUP, INSPECT, DDL, Enform, and Batchcom.
• Knowledge of Connex Utilities such as LOGSCAN, AUDTSCAN, NMI, and CED.
• Strong understanding of the payment switch domain for debit cards.
• Familiarity with HSM and security modules in switching applications.
• Understanding of EFT transaction fundamentals and message types like ISO8583.
• Experience with scheme compliance for MasterCard and VISA.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
