Responsibilities

• Operating tools and equipment common to the mechanical trade (e.g. hand & power tools).
• Processing work orders using computers and scanning devices in adherence to the production schedule.
• Scanning in and out of work orders in adherence to the production schedule.
• Reading and interpreting documents associated with mechanical assembly assignments (e.g. blueprints, bill of materials).
• Gathering parts and accessories required in the assembly process.
• Assembling fabricated parts to create unit assemblies or subassemblies.
• Fastening component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies.
• Connecting cables and basic wires.
• Verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Disassembling units to adjust or replace parts.
• Marking unit assemblies with identifying information and/or attaching identifying tags.
• Reporting non-conforming items (e.g. parts, schematics).
• Preparing finished units for shipping (e.g. packing, sealing, labeling).
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Accessing and utilizing various documents associated with the manufacture of products in assembly.
• Performing other work as directed by supervision.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic Computer Skills and the use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
• Ability to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material.
